Privacy Policy

1. Information processed on the device

The app uses only the local information needed to protect one supported app:

• introduction and sound preferences, selected-app identity, permission state, protection state, and language resolved by Android;
• local protected-access, cooldown, successful-unlock, and fixed 60-second re-entry-window timestamps and counters;
• the Android package name for the one supported app selected by the user; and
• temporary accelerometer samples while the movement challenge is active.

2. Android access and permissions

Android Usage Access can expose broad app-usage events. Dopamine Tax filters those events on the device to the one protected package selected by the user and does not retain unrelated app events. Limited package visibility checks only whether the supported Free apps Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube are installed; the app does not enumerate or upload the device's app inventory.

Appear on top lets Android bring the full Dopamine Tax activity forward when an early return is detected. A foreground service and boot receiver keep local protection working when Android permits. The app does not read screen content, use Accessibility, perform gestures, or draw a floating blocker. These permissions can be denied or revoked in Android Settings; protection then appears inactive.

3. Collection, sharing, and secure handling

For Google Play's Data safety definition, collection means transmitting data off the device. Dopamine Tax transmits no user or product data off-device, so the app declares no data collected and no data shared. It contains no account, backend, advertising, external analytics, remote crash reporting, cloud sync, or subscription in version 1.0.0.

Configuration and event state remain in app-owned local storage. Raw motion samples are used in memory, discarded when the challenge ends, and are not stored or transmitted. Android cloud backup is disabled. Local information is protected by the normal security controls of the user's device and operating system. Dopamine Tax does not use the microphone, camera, contacts, location, or advertising identifiers.

4. Product website and Cloudflare

If the user opens this policy from the app, the operating-system browser requests the public Dopamine Tax website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The app adds no identifier, selected-app value, timestamp, motion data, or other product state to the address.

Cloudflare may process ordinary web-request information to deliver and protect the static site under its own privacy policy. Dacnabe Studios adds no form, account, advertising, analytics, tracking script, cookie, or product backend to this website.

5. Retention and deletion

Local configuration remains until the user changes it, clears the app's storage, or uninstalls Dopamine Tax. Stopping protection disables monitoring but intentionally keeps the configuration for later resumption. Unrelated Android usage events and raw motion samples are not retained.

To delete all Dopamine Tax app-owned information, clear the app's storage in Android Settings or uninstall the app. Because Dacnabe Studios has no server copy or Dopamine Tax account, there is no remote account record to delete, export, or correct.

6. Children and teenagers

Dopamine Tax is intended for people aged 13 or older and is not directed to children under 13. Dacnabe Studios does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 through the app. The app does not request or store a birth date.

7. User choices and privacy rights

Users control the app's permissions in Android Settings and may stop protection, change the selected app, clear local storage, or uninstall at any time. For a privacy question or a request under applicable law, contact Dacnabe Studios. Since the app sends no user data to Dacnabe Studios, the developer normally has no app user record to locate or return.

8. Changes and contact

This policy will be updated before Dopamine Tax introduces a practice that changes these disclosures. The version and effective date above will change when the policy changes.
